The Winter Song was written and directed by Aubrey Arnason. Part of the Storyhive and NSI Canada Female Directors Edition, it’s a story based on Aubrey’s real life. Her father and brother are both NHL veterans and the film is about following your dreams as well as an ode to Canada and it’s national pastime. Over the course of 13 half-hour episodes, World Champion Hip Hop Dancer Travis Lim takes viewers on a journey exploring the 4 elements of Hip Hop (Graffiti, Dance, MC’ing and Rap). In each episode, Travis Lim showcases hip hop dance performances, interviews with Hip Hop cultural legends such as DJ Flipout, Dedos, Lenny Lenn as well as fashion and music segments with a cast of the top 9-15 year old dancers in Canada. As the director of Hip Hop with Travis Lim, Aubrey Arnason created the look and feel of the show and worked closely with Travis Lim to prepare him for the ongoing responsibilities of hosting his own series.
